Scale advantage - sesame planting base

Wudi (Sesame) Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, covering an area of about 6.66 square kilometers, is the first national sesame cultural and educational base in China. Located in the Eastern Economic Development Zone of Wudi County, the base had been recognized as a provincial ecological and circular agriculture demonstration area in 2018, and further in 2020, as a premium park (farmhouse) in Shandong Province. The park is less than 3 kilometers away from both Wudi East Exit of Binzhou-Dezhou Expressway and Wudi Railway Station of the Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway. Established and invested by Shandong Shilixiang Sesame Products Co., Ltd., Phase I of the park has been basically completed with an investment of more than CNY 20 million. Totally, there are over 30 rooms (suites) including offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, and warehouses. The cultural square there can accommodate up to 2,000 people for outdoor entertainment and dining. By now, the park has successfully hosted Wudi County Farmers’ Harvest Festival, Wudi County Farmers’ Sports Meeting, Sesame Flower Photography Festival, and Sesame Harvest Festival. Additionally, in the open-air bonfire square, and the shrimp and crab fishing garden, visitors can enjoy a wide range of services, including cycling, outdoor training, outdoor team building activities, RV camping, organic fruit and vegetable picking, as well as educational and scientific activities. With these efforts, we are pioneering a new model of characteristic development integrating agriculture, tourism, and cultivation in the sesame industry in the Yellow River Basin.

Industrial revitalization plays a crucial role in rural revitalization. Positioning ourselves as a key agricultural industrialization enterprise in Shandong Province, we shoulder the important mission of building a complete agricultural industry chain and creating jobs for farmers and helping to increase their incomes. Our sesame planting base has expanded to 2 square kilometers. In the periphery, the sesame planting area has been expanded to over 13.3 square kilometers. Additionally, by providing seasonal jobs for over 8,000 individuals each year, we help local farmers around achieve an average annual income increase of over CNY 10,000. We will make continued efforts to further develop the agricultural industry chain, support rural revitalization, promote sustained income growth for farmers, and play a part in the development of a modern rural industrial system.
